Dear Parents and Guardians,
As unbelievable as it seems, there are only 12 more school days left before the end of the year. The students are working hard on their final reading assessments, their last science projects of the year, and their "lessons" for graduation. As I mentioned before, this year's graduation event will be an interactive experience for all attendees. Please see below for more details!

GRADUATION PHOTO RETAKE DAY
Hopefully by now, you've all had a chance to view the super cute cap-and-gown graduation photos of the Dragon students. On Thursday, June 4th, Dan will be helping us to do any necessary retakes. Please let me know if you would like to sign up for a photo retake for your child.
GRADUATION CEREMONY
This year's Kindergarten graduation will take place on Friday, June 12th, from 9:30am to approximately 11:30am. On that day, the Dragon students will become "teachers" for a day! Students and their families will circle around to several different tables filled with interactive activities from this school year. The students will teach the adults the Mandarin, math, science, and English content. At the end, we will finish off with a song performance as well as individual diploma presentations. Get your cameras ready!!
NOTE: If you would like to take your child directly to lunch after the ceremony, please let me know in advance. We will have a sign-out sheet posted near the exit at the church hall. For safety and security reasons, please notify a staff member before leaving with your child.
FLICKR ALBUM UPDATES
Check out the Dragon class Flickr page! I've updated the site with pictures from our field trips, our science projects, and our Earth Day celebrations. You can also see the slideshows on the Photo page of the Dragon website.
SUMMER "HOMEWORK"
Wu Lao Shi and I have prepared summer review packets for all of the kindergarten students. There are some Mandarin and math review sheets, a few journal pages, and a fun packet of hands-on science experiments (including all the necessary materials). We will hand out hard copies of the packets next Tuesday. The homework is not mandatory, but please try and review (especially Mandarin) as much as possible!
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Best Regards,
Suen Lao Shi 孫老師
